It’s time to get funky. Luther’s Funky Glue sugar wax funky, to be exact. That’s what we’re reviewing for our friends over at Prohibition Herb this week, and let me tell you, it’s a good one.
If you’re not familiar with Luther’s Funky Glue sugar wax, let’s have a quick weed lesson. So, this product is a hybrid concentrate that’s made from Prohibition’s GG#4, Luther’s OG, and Granola Funk flower, which are three of their very good premium strains. It’s got a little more than 61 percent THC in it, and even contains a little CBD for good measure.
I picked up this sugar wax on a Friday afternoon and was expecting to be handed your regular ol’ concentrate jar. But, as with most of the products Prohibition carries, this one surprised me because the packaging was anything but your typical glass concentrate jar in a protective tube. This thing was fancy af. The jar was tucked away in a black and white round box, and it looked more like a container for expensive chocolates than sugar wax.
Even cooler, though, was that a breakdown of the terpenes in the wax was printed on the underside of the lid. It tells you what the cannabinoid profile is, too, and comes complete with the exact percentages. In this batch of Luther’s Funky Glue sugar wax, there’s some a-Pinene, b-Pinene, Myrcene, Linalool, and a bunch of other good stuff. Now, whether you care about the terpenes in your concentrate is your business, but it’s nice to have that information either way. And seeing that Pinene helped explain why this wax smelled kind of like a spicy pine tree.
Plus, the THC-A and THC percentages explain why I got so ridiculously high after just a few hits. And ridiculously high I did get. I took maybe five hits of this sticky, funky wax and immediately felt like I was hit with the stoned nerve wiggles. You know that feeling you get when you’re high and all your nerve endings know it? We’re rebranding it to the stoned wiggles, I guess, because I can’t think of an alternate name for it this morning.
Anyway, while Luther’s Funky Glue wax was a very noticeable high, it was completely manageable, which I greatly appreciated. I knew I was high but I didn’t feel outta control. I just felt like I was on a warm, slightly confusing ride. My eyes felt stoned and my face felt stoned but I kept contemplating the idea of taking more hits because this sugar wax tastes like absolutely nothing. Luckily, I did not give in to temptation, because that stoned nerve feeling was only the beginning.
It wasn’t long after my nerves all caught on happy fire that I tried to sink myself into reading a blog as a distraction. Needless to say, I failed miserably. I just kept reading the same sentence over and over, but it didn’t become evident that I was doing it until well after I’d “read” the paragraph. I kept thinking I was absorbing the information but would then realize my brain was not working and start over. Luther’s Funky Glue isn’t the right choice for productivity.
It is the right choice for being high and mellow, though. As long as you don’t have to read or have any work to do, you should give this concentrate a shot. It’s a chill high, and you’ll definitely feel it in your bones and nerves. Pretty funky indeed.
