Death Star

by Patrick Dalton

What is it?I’d like to tell you this cross between Sour Diesel and Sensi Star was developed by Lord Vader himself on the galactic super weapon it shares a name with, but it was actually bred by some guys in Ohio. As a grower, I question the genetics claimed by the developers because I’ve crossed these two strains with no phenos smoking anywhere close to the cutting of Death Star I later acquired.

The effectsDeath Star takes a little while to get the full effect, but when you do, the euphoria is unbelievable. She leans indica with the strongest body buzz I’ve ever experienced, but still packs a steady psychoactive effect.

The smellIt’s a bit lemony on the beginning of the inhale, but diesel and sweet skunk soon take over.

The lookThe nugs are thick with deep green hues, plenty of orange hairs and crystal trichomes. Colder climates produce dark purple flowers in its final two weeks.

The tasteYou might get a hint of citrus in the beginning, but the pure fuel taste takes over through most of the inhale and exhale.

The final verdictThis is a fantastic strain! It’s a bit of a trippy buzz because the body effects are so powerful you don’t really notice the interesting brain effects. A seasoned smoker can hit this all day and remain functional. She’s one of my all-time favorite bedtime strains because everything feels so good as the little Yodas gently take you off to dreamland. Good for stress, pain, insomnia and fighting the dark forces of everyday life.
