One of the cool things about living in Durango is that when the chips are down for one person, tons of other people step up to help.
Now is one of those times.
From 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday at the Balcony Backstage, 600 Main Ave., there will be a fundraiser for Emily Dale, a 26-year-old rock climber/massage therapist who needed emergency surgery.
The evening will feature music by DJ Codestar (7-9 p.m.) and DJ Niko (9:30-11 p.m.), drink specials from Ska and an awesome silent auction, which includes a wide array of services and items from community businesses and individuals.
Entry is by donation at the door.
This is an all-ages event, and is sponsored by the Balcony Backstage and Amaya Natural Therapeutics (where Emily is a therapist).
