Tip a glass to O. Henry at the DAC

by DGO Web Administrator

Spend Tuesday night celebrating Gilded Age author O. Henry as portrayed by actor and Fort Lewis College Theatre Department Chair Dr. Dennis Elkins.

This cool night will include an evening’s entertainment of storytelling based on one of more than 500 short stories attributed to the author, whose real name was William Sydney Porter.

Elkins’ performance highlights the author’s colorful life – including a stint in the clink – and combines that with one of his stories exemplifying the wit and wisdom of O. Henry.

The one-man show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.

The public is invited to the performance with a suggested donation at the door.

For more information, call Elkins at 247-7647 or email [email protected]
