Rewind to post-war Barcelona, 1945. Young Daniel Sempere lives a quiet existence. He resides above the bookshop that his father owns, and his days are consumed in the stacks. All of that changes, however, when he’s introduced to The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, a secret library where, in lieu of being forgotten, obscure, and dying tomes are protected under the watchful eyes of a guardian.
