Come one, come all to celebrate Colorado’s favorite pastime this weekend. You know what I’m talking about – 420 is right around the corner and we are here for it.
On April 20, Joyful Nook, a Durango puzzle shop, is hosting a 420 party starting at 4:20 p.m. at 11th Street Station in downtown Durango.
“This (celebration) is for the launch of our Kickstarter campaign for Budzzles,” said Jacqueline Hess, project engineer at Joyful Nook. “There will be giveaways, drawings, free swag, and more.”
What, you ask, are Budzzles? Glad you asked. They’re locally-made wooden puzzles cut in the shape of marijuana leaves. Buddzle pieces are cut to contain kitschy references to things like the THC compound and the Volkswagen van. You can find them at Joyful Nook and Prohibition Herb.
The puzzles have proven so popular, in fact, that Joyful Nook can’t keep up with demand; therefore, the business is hosting this campaign to raise funds to churn out more.
Also at the event, starting at 4:20 p.m., DJ Rasta Stevie will be playing music off of his records followed by the Six Dollar String Band performing at 7 p.m.
