Werk itWhoop, whoop! That’s the sound of the police. And also a sound you’ll (likely) hear mashed into the music happening at Animas City Theatre this fine Friday night, when electronic magicians – err, musicians – Freddy Todd, Kll Smith, The Dancing Arrow, and Kid Konsume take the stage to spin, blast, and blare the funky beats they’re known for, all to make you dance your ever-lovin’ disco pants off. Freddy Todd’s music has been compared to “being abducted by an extra-terrestrial cruise liner where everyone is tripping on space acid.” Uh, what is space acid, and where can we get some? Asking for an alien friend. His name is Kll Smith…or so he says.

Details: Nov. 19, Freddy Todd, Kll Smith, The Dancing Arrow, and Kid Konsume, 9 p.m., $20-25, Animas City Theatre, 128 E. College Drive, animascitytheatre.com

Give thanks for the Thanksgiving MarketAin’t no party like a Thanksgiving Market party…right? Right. But even if you’re not down to party at the farmer’s market, you should still make your way over to the Thanksgiving Market on Saturday, because you’ll be able to snag your share of locally grown fresh veggies, meats, cheeses, and so on. You can use those farm-to-table goodies to impress your annoying in-laws or holiday guests, as they will undoubtedly be jelly of your market prowess. If you’re all set on cranberries, you can still head out there to dig up some unique gifts and treasures. Everyone loves treasures. EVERYONE.

Details: Nov. 17, Thanksgiving Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., free, La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

Yo, brah…yo…gaIf you’ve been avoiding that whole yoga class thing, perhaps you should start back up again at Ska Brewing this foooooine Monday evening. It is, after all, Happy Hour Yoga, which means you’ll put in the work during one hour of yoga, and then put in the play with a pint of Ska beer when you’re done. Just think of it as a beer incentive for the stretching torture. Just a little further…

Details: Nov. 19, Happy Hour Yoga, 5:30 p.m., $10, Ska Brewing, 225 Girard Street, skabrewing.com
