Are you a single, ready-to-mingle, cigar-lovin’ lady? Well, you’re a unicorn, and this week’s unattached gentleman might just be the one for you. He’s a My Father H2K CT-smokin’ son of a gun, and he’s here to catch your heart, and your tobacco leaves, on fire. If you’re interested, send us an email at [email protected] and tell us about yourself. Or, shoot us an email to be featured as a single. Either way, reach out and touch us via the interwebs. We’re here for you.
Carver Payne
Age: 21
Sign: Capricorn
Occupation: Sales associate at Durango Smoke Shop
How did you find this job?I just moved out here, and I was going downtown with a stack of applications. I needed a smoke break and, on a whim, asked if they were hiring. They were, so I got really lucky.
What’s your favorite cigar? My favorite cigar is the cigar that I am smoking. It’s My Father H2K CT. It’s Nicaraguan and really tasty. It’s a mild to medium cigar. It goes well with any whiskey. It’s got an incredible draw.
Why are you still single?I guess I haven’t found the type of person that I could see myself with yet. I am recently out of a relationship and it was a little bit too high maintenance for me.
What qualities do you look for in a lady?I like someone who is outdoorsy. I like somebody who knows how to relax, as well as someone who can go out and have a good time. I look for somebody with a good sense of humor because I like to laugh. Someone who can match a lot of my qualities but compliment them as well, so someone a little bit more level-headed than I am is great.
Tell us something about you that no one else knows.I play piano and guitar, and I sing sometimes if you’re lucky. But not a lot of people know that, though. That’s a hard one. I feel like I’m pretty loud and upfront.
What does your weekend typically look like?I usually work weekends, but on my days off, I’m either having a relaxing day inside and hanging out with homies, or I am out hiking, going on an adventure, and hitting the hot springs. If it is winter, I like to get out and try to snowboard, or sled, or even just hike around in the snow. During the summer, I like to tube down the river quite a bit.
Do you have Peter Pan syndrome?I think I am too young to have Peter Pan syndrome, which I like. I’m worried that I will at some point. I am 21 though, so I feel like I am allowed to be in Durango and act like a kid.
Anything else you want to add?Despite the fact that I work in a smoke shop, I don’t smoke cigarettes. I feel like that would be a turn off for some people.
