Swipe Right: Meet Angie Davis

by DGO Web Administrator

We launched our singles feature last week highlighting a couple of brave souls who were willing to be our guinea pigs. They put themselves out there in ink as we played matchmaker like Italian mothas finding their son a lovely young lady, unlike these puttanas walking around like they the queen of England or somethin’.

We expect to be the godparents of our singles’ future children if it works out. If not, that’s on you bb. This week, we bring you two hawties from the LGBT community who aren’t afraid to speak their minds. Get to know them a little bit, and if you’re interested in setting up a date, email us at [email protected] and tell us about yourself. Your guess is as good as ours for what it might lead to.

If you want to be featured or know somebody who is single and ready for romance, drop us a line.

Angie Davis

Age: 31

Occupation: Bartender at El Rancho

Sign: Scorpio (“But don’t let that scare you away.”)

Why are you still single? I’m fresh on the market – like three months. I don’t know why I’m still single because I’m never single. But I’m enjoying it, I guess. (I’m) having a good time being able to do what I want, but I’m definitely a relationship person. I’m really good at taking care of people and sometimes missing myself so it’s been nice.

For a Scorpio that’s interesting.I know. I told you, don’t let it scare you away. I’m different. I promise.

What qualities are you looking for in a person?I’m looking for a dime. Best top of the line. Cute face, little waist with a big behind… That’s what I’m lookin’ for. Oh geez. Sometimes I’m a little shallow, I guess, I’ll be honest. But someone who likes to go on a whim and doesn’t have to be so super structured. Someone who likes to sit on the couch but also likes to go out and do stuff as well. A lady on the streets but a freak in the sheets. That’s another one that I like to use as well… Dating in this town has been different for me. Since this is the Pride issue, there haven’t been too many women who have been completely into women, you could say.

Are you completely into women? Absolutely. I was born this way, girl, for sure.

What do people not know about you? That I love to cook. A lot of people know that though. Let’s not use that. Oh man. That’s tough. I’m really girly, actually. If people know me, they know a lot. I’m actually really domesticated. Rough on the edges, but soft at heart. Oh geez.

Do you have Peter Pan syndrome?Yes, yes I do, but I’m motivated and driven. I’m a bartender. I’m 31. But I love living in Durango, and this is what seems to fit for right now. And, time flies when you’re having fun. That’s a true fucking fact. But, I’ll be honest, I do have Peter Pan syndrome. I’m a lost boy.

But you’ve been actively dating. A lot of people who have Peter Pan syndrome don’t even date. I do not sleep around; that is one thing that people don’t know about me. They think I do, but I do NOT. I’m a serial dater, I’ll say it for sure. Literally, three months is the longest I’ve ever been single, which is ridiculous and it’s not that long. Friends, that’s been nice. Being single is the friend time. You lose that in relationships sometimes.
