Welcome to the Hotel Taco Bell. Such a lovely place. You can stuff your face. They livin’ it up at the Hotel Taco Bell. What a nice surprise, you’ll turn oversized.
OK fine, the DGO rendition of “Hotel California” isn’t that good, but Taco Bell is opening up a hotel Palm Springs, Calif. and we have a feeling you’ll be able to check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Because why would you?
The Bell, as the fast-food chain calls it, will open in August 2019, according to Forbes. You better hope you have some vacation time leftover by then cuz it’s only going to be open five days. Now, you’re probably asking the same questions we are. Can I sleep on a bed of lettuce? Will the pool be filled with Mountain Dew Baja Blast? Are the walls made of taco shells and can we eat them? The pressing stuff.
Taco Bell answers none of those questions, but they do answer a few others.
“The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect,” said Taco Bell’s Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg, in a media statement. “Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy.”
According to Forbes, The Bell will include a gift shop, a salon that will give you the Taco Bell-inspired manicure of your dreams, a daily “happier hour,” and lotsa food.
Reservations are available in June (age 18+ only), but things like cost and how to book a room are still a secret.
The countdown has begun and this could be heaven or this could be hell (sorry, last reference). But we know that in all likelihood this is what heaven will be like.
