There’s a lot of amazing foods that pair well with weed and Colorado’s own Illegal Burger is set to bring those such couplings even closer together.
West Coast Ventures Group Corp. – the parent company of the Denver area restaurants – is partnering with North American Cannabis Holdings to present to you AmeriCanna Cafe – a food truck that will offer food in its most perfect form, infused with cannabis. The food truck will show up in pop-up venues near dispensaries in Colorado.
“We are excited about this upcoming new revenue stream for the company,” WCVC CEO Jim Nixon stated in a news release. “As many are aware, franchising brings significantly greater bottom line profit compared to company-owned locations. We have received many inquiries over the last few months requesting the availability of franchises. We expect a very positive response to WCVC adding this aspect.”
In early January, WCVC announced they were partnering with California-based Biolog Inc. to make the cannabis-infused meals using technology called CannaStix – solid seasonings and spices that contain cannabis extracts. For now, WCVC is only using the CBD versions of CannaStix.
“We are excited about this upcoming trial and we hope to implement this technology across all of our properties,” Nixon said in a news release. “The Biolog products will enable us to infuse our foods with CBD, which is very popular right now and will be of great interest to our customers. We expect a very positive response to WCVC being the first culinary group to use CannaStix.”
AmeriCanna Cafe will hit the streets of Colorado spring 2019. A specific launch date and locations have not yet been announced.
