Premium pre-rolls are proof that variety is the spice of life

by DGO Pufnstuf

Variety is the spice of life, so they say. And that mantra can be fitting for just about anything: relationships, food, or cannabis.

Yes, I do mean cannabis. I know we all have our favorite strains – I’m unabashedly up the proverbial ass of the strains formerly known as Gorilla Glue or Girl Scout Cookies – but sometimes it’s nice to dip your toes into the hazy waters and test out something new. And that, my friends, is precisely why I freaking love the new premium pre-rolls from Prohibition. It ain’t nothin’ but variety.

And that variety is made even better by the fact that these aren’t just your regular pre-rolls. They’re PREMIUM pre-rolls, you see, which means they’re filled with the flowery goodness of Prohibition’s premium strain line. There’s OG Sin, Cherry Diesel, Luther’s OG, Cookies and Cream, and North Star. You can choose from single pre-rolls or a variety 5-pack, which contains one of each strain.

Why is this so rad, you ask? Well, prior to these premium pre-rolls, the smallest amount of a premium strain you could buy at Prohibition was an 1/8th. Now you can try them all out so you know what strains you like best before you invest in a fancy jar full o’ weed. Budget pot shopping at its finest!

Anywho, I snagged one of the 5-pack of pre-rolls, and I was stoked to see how killer the packaging was. Prohibition really is sticking to their premium guns and doing this thing right. The 5-pack comes in what looks like a black cassette tape case – I’m so old, I know – and it’s cleverly labeled on the interior AND exterior so you know what you’re smokin’.

I have already tried these strains out and know they’re all badass, so I opted to play Russian Roulette with my pack and choose which one to smoke with my eyes closed. I wound up with OG Sin, a fine choice, and dragged a friend outside to light it up.

Unsurprisingly, this joint was expertly rolled, especially compared to what I roll with my sad pinner skills, and it lit up evenly right away. Nothing compares to an expertly rolled joint, you guys. I don’t care how good you think you are at it. These guys are inevitably better. And, even more unsurprisingly, the OG Sin in this pre-roll was sweet – so sweet, in fact, that the person I was smoking with kept feeling the need to remind me. She was impressed with this one, clearly.

So was I. I loved OG Sin the first time around, and I sure as hell loved it the second time around. Shortly after extinguishing the joint, which took us a hot minute to finish, by the way – these are hefty pre-rolls filled with ground flower, not trim or shake – my arms got heavy, my eyelids dropped to half-mast, and my brain went so foggy that I was the human equivalent of a bowl of spaghetti. Perfect for a random Saturday night.

I’ve said for months that these premium strains are golden, and having the option to try all of them out before committing is so freakin’ fantastic. As usual, I’m really impressed with what Prohibition continues to come up with. Those guys create skunky magic.
