Swipe right: Meet Remi Majeski

by DGO Web Administrator

We launched our singles feature last week highlighting a couple of brave souls who were willing to be our guinea pigs. They put themselves out there in ink as we played matchmaker like Italian mothas finding their son a lovely young lady, unlike these puttanas walking around like they the queen of England or somethin’.

We expect to be the godparents of our singles’ future children if it works out. If not, that’s on you bb. This week, we bring you two hawties from the LGBT community who aren’t afraid to speak their minds. Get to know them a little bit, and if you’re interested in setting up a date, email us at [email protected] and tell us about yourself. Your guess is as good as ours for what it might lead to.

If you want to be featured or know somebody who is single and ready for romance, drop us a line.

Remi Majeski

Age: 25

Occupation: Server at The Palace and Cantera

Sign: Virgo

What’s your poison?Tequila. Pretty much anything with tequila. It could even be just tequila straight. If it has tequila in it, that’s my drink of choice for sure.

Why are you still single?I would like to say that it’s because I work so much and I don’t have a whole lot of time. That’s part of it. The other part is (that) I might be a little too picky. I’m generally not interested in people interested in me, and when I’m interested in somebody, they’re not interested in me. You can’t find anybody that has the same vibe as you.

It’s a Virgo thing. We are super picky and kind of high maintenance and a lot to handle. I’m not afraid to admit that.

What qualities do you look for in a person?I like somebody who is very comfortable with themselves, and somebody who is not afraid to be who they are – not afraid to let loose. That’s who I am. I don’t hold back. I don’t have a filter, a sensor or anything. I let people know how it is. I’m not rude unless I have to be… I don’t like people who are ashamed of themselves. Know who you are. Be true to yourself. That’s one of the most important things to me, because it took me a long time to get that way with myself.

Why did your last relationship end? That is a hard question. There was a significant age discrepancy. Physically there weren’t too many years between us, but mentally there was a huge gap. He wasn’t comfortable with what was going on, and we just needed to do our own thing.

Do you prefer texting or calling to get to know someone?Texting for sure. I hate talking on the phone. Oh my gosh, I hate it so much. I hate getting phone calls. I hate making phone calls. I hate voicemails. I hate playing phone tag. I prefer texting just overall. I am so busy a lot of the time, it’s just a lot easier to look at a text and respond when I have the time to do it. It’s a lot simpler for me to text.

What do you like to cook for others?I really enjoy cooking Mexican food. It’s been my favorite food my entire life. That’s all my mom ate when she was pregnant with me, so I’m pretty sure that’s why. I love cooking Mexican food. That’s when I’m in my element most is when I’m cooking, too. It doesn’t seem like a white boy like me can cook Mexican food, but I’m not afraid to admit. I’m really good at cooking Mexican food… I have a whole spice cabinet dedicated to Mexican spices. I always have pounds of lard and masa in my cupboard for when I make tamales. Mexican food is a huge labor of love. You have to really be dedicated for it to turn out right.
