DGO picks in and around Durango: June 21 to 27

El Moro will be hosting Craft, a summer food and wine event, with drinks from Colterris Colorado Grande Valley Wine, and whiskey from Laws Whiskey House and Peach Street Distillers.

Spinnin’ spokes The City of Durango is presenting the 9th Annual Clean Commute Week to encourage people to bike to work. It may be smoky out, but as of printing, the event is still on. There is a list of events happening throughout the week, such as a farmers market and an event ceremony with raffles and other prizes. Save the environment and get sweet calves.

Little livingTiny home development Escalante Village is hosting an open house. See the location, the sites, and tour some model homes. The event serves as an opportunity to learn more about minimal living while taking advantage of the free coffee and snacks, which we think will be regular size. Register online.

Magic 8 ballRound the Riverbend 8 Ball Shootout is not a song from Disney’s “Pocahontas.” It’s a chance for pool sharks to win some cash. Billiards hall Pongas will be hosting the tournament with up to 64 players, who will race to get the black ball in first. An extra $500 will be added to the pot. The top eight players win a payout.
