You can now buy John Wayne Gacy’s former murder property

Weird crime story alert: You can now purchase John Wayne Gacy’s suburban Illinois property – ya know, the one where he buried the bodies of 29 of his victims.

To be clear, Gacy’s original home was understandably destroyed in 1979. The land, on which a new house was built, is what is for sale for a grand total of $459,000.

The property is listed by Prello Realty and is located in Norwood Park, Illinois – just northwest of Chicago. The new house is a lovely three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

The weirdest part, according to Newsweek, is that realtors don’t have to disclose crime on a property in Illinois. So, Prello Realty technically doesn’t have to inform any potential buyers that the property once housed one of the country’s most evil serial killers who buried the bodies of his young victims there. In total, Gacy is believed to have killed 33 men and boys, some of which he dumped in the Des Plaines River.

So…if living on a property with a dark, dark history is your thing, you don’t mind that your new house is probably REAL haunted, and you have nearly half-a-million-bucks to spare, perhaps you just found your new home?
