Colorado’s beloved beer brand, Coors, is hopping on the trendy CBD beverage train

The brand that brought brews like Blue Moon and Miller Lite is now gettin’ onboard the CBD train to America. In January, Molson Coors announced that they would be releasing their CBD-infused beverage line in the United States, according to Westword, and Coloradoans have reason to be excited.

Verywell, a line of CBD-infused sparkling water by Truss CBD USA—owned by Molson Coors and Hexo Corp, a Canadian cannabis company—was released in Colorado first. The beverages can be purchased online and in various stores across the state.

“Colorado has an established regulatory framework in place that covers the production, marketing, labeling, and sale of CBD-infused products. The joint venture will approach this opportunity in full alignment with our commitment to commercial responsibility, transparency, and compliance,” said Jane Armstrong Hockman, Truss USA general manager.

Each beverage contains 20 milligrams of hemp-derived CBD and no THC, so you won’t get high off of this product. The sparkling water comes in either grapefruit tarragon, strawberry hibiscus, or blueberry lavender flavors; aka Focus, Mind and Body, and Unwind, respectively. The drinks also contain supplements like ginseng, guarana, ashwagandha, elderberry, and L-theanine.

“Whether you’ve dabbled in CBD before or are curious to try something new, Veryvell invites a moment of self-care to your day through a refreshing and balanced mix of hemp extracts and natural flavors,” said Armstrong Hockman. “Each beverage in the product line offers a unique blend of CBD and adaptogens, giving consumers the freedom to pick the combination that best meets them in the moment. We are thrilled to bring our beverage expertise and commitment to quality to this emerging wellness category.”

Because Verywell is made from hemp as opposed to marijuana, this cannabis product is federally legal which means Truss USA can send you the drinks via the mail.

This move shouldn’t be too surprising as Molson Coors has been eyeballing the American market for years. In fact, they’re already in Canada’s CBD and THC markets. As for plans to offer U.S. potheads THC products? That’s a solid maybe.

“As appropriately based on legal and regulatory frameworks, Truss CBD USA will continue to assess the brands in the Truss Beverages [Canada] portfolio for the U.S. consumer,” said Armstrong Hockman.

Our fingers are crossed for this possible future development, especially if they decide to release in Colorado first. Who is going to say no to more weed? Not Colorado!
