Giving ‘Voice’ to a good cause

by DGO Web Administrator

Manna Soup Kitchen serves more than 65,000 meals a year to hungry folks in Durango. When they aren’t tending a garden that yields over a 1,000 pounds of produce for their kitchen, Manna provides support services and job training for those in need. All that doesn’t come cheap. It takes a lot of volunteers, donations, and time.

You can help and have a helluva good time! Hit up the 2nd Annual Durango Voice Fundraiser at the Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave. On Saturday, Feb. 25, pre-selected contestants will sing before a live audience and a band of judges. Judges will select 12 final contestants who will go on to the finale to take place April 1. Doors are at 6:30 and the show starts at 7 p.m for this all-ages performance.

Tickets are $35 for Feb. 25’s performance or $65 for both Feb. 25 and the April 1 finale. All proceeds from both performances support the Manna Soup Kitchen. For more details, stop by http://mannasoupkitchen.org.
