Just-opened Mexican restaurant Mi Ranchito plans to stay open late

Pub crawlers, shift workers, and general night owls, rejoice! A new Mexican restaurant in downtown Durango plans to stay open late.

In an interview with the Durango Herald, restaurateur Jamie Lariz said he hopes to keep Mi Ranchito open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays starting in January. Occupying the former home of BREW Pub & Kitchen on the west 100 block of College Drive, the eatery is convenient to Durango’s nightlife.

Lariz previously owned San Marcos Mexican Restaurant on U.S. Highway 160 and No Way Jose’s on Main Avenue. Like the old restaurants, the new menu at Mi Ranchito includes tacos, burritos, fajitas, and pretty much everything you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant.

Don’t get us wrong … the Durango Dawg House is a handy late-night haunt for hot dogs and sandwiches, and Denny’s has been a late-night bystander for eons, but we can always use some more food options at 1 a.m. on a Saturday.
