It’s Oktoberfest time again, and this year, the weekend is jam-packed.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, head down to Buckley Park in Durango and check out two days of music, games, food and, of course, beer.
Beer’s coming to you courtesy of Durango Bootlegger’s Society and includes Ska, Steamworks, Carvers, Animas Brewing Co. and Durango Brewing Co. Local food vendors will be on hand to keep your guts full.
Live music will feature polka band Die PolkaSchlingel, acoustic band Garrett & Callie Jung, and hip-hop from Diabolical Sound Platoon on Saturday. Sunday features Durango’s alt-country/Americana stars, The Cannondolls, and more from Die PolkaSchlingel.
And don’t be afraid to bring the fam: Oktoberfest is a family-friendly party.
Admission is $5. Participants in Durango Double, as well as children 12 and younger, are free. Profits will benefit Sexual Assualt Services Organization of Durango.
